About
Unseenlabs’ RF Maritime Intelligence Data Service turns the RF detections collected by its BRO satellite constellation into actionable maritime intelligence for governments and private organizations. Customers select their area(s) of interest and desired number of daily revisits, and receive standard-format files listing every detected shipborne RF emitter, including geolocation coordinates, accurate timestamps and RF technical parameters.
The service is designed to reveal ‘dark vessels’ – ships that turn off or spoof their AIS/VMS/LRIT transponders to avoid detection – and complements existing surveillance layers (coastal radar, AIS/VMS/LRIT, SAR and optical imagery) through a ‘Tip & Cue’ approach, in which RF detections trigger targeted follow-up by other sensors. Because the RF payload requires no cooperation from the vessel and works day or night in any weather, coverage extends far beyond the range of shore-based systems and is not limited by national borders.
Beyond raw detection data, Unseenlabs offers customized deeper-analysis products: dark-vessel detection and monitoring reports, intelligence reports with situational context, a data visualization portal, technical training, and urgent/tasked requests. The data is commercially available and ITAR-free, serving governments, maritime security agencies, business and trade intelligence users, offshore facility operators, fisheries authorities, marine insurers, NGOs and shipowners worldwide.
