About
Thaliana Space’s green propulsion system is a monopropellant propulsion module utilizing 98% high-test peroxide (HTP), designed for small satellites operating in Low Earth Orbit. The system provides the platform with capabilities for orbital maneuvers and attitude control, as well as end-of-life deorbit, as a hydrazine-free alternative to conventional toxic monopropellant systems.
The module is built around a blowdown monopropellant architecture with four 1 N nominal-thrust HTP thrusters and a semi-passive thermal control system, packaged within a 380 x 380 x 380 mm envelope. The propulsion unit and its individual thrusters were developed at the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation and are manufactured and delivered by Thaliana Space under a commercialization license; thruster performance has been verified in laboratory environment, including vacuum chamber and atmospheric hot-fire testing, with flawless operation exceeding predicted lifetime.
