About

TAI is the only thermal strap manufacturer offering a standard Cryocooler Series (CS) Copper Thermal Strap (CuTS) product line. CS CuTS are based on common cold-tip diameters from the industry’s most popular Sumitomo (SHI) and Cryomech cryocoolers, and on the most frequently requested end-fitting/terminal-block styles. As with all standard-model straps, cable/rope length and bolt-pattern customization are free of charge, as are front-end design and performance-projection services.

Available in 9 second-stage cold-head diameters across 72 sub-models, CS CuTS are made entirely from 99.99-99.998% pure OFHC copper (Cu-101) using TAI’s exclusive solder-free OFHC UltraFlex I cabling for maximum flexibility, with nickel or gold plating available. TAI can customize any of the 72 CS models for a small fee, and routinely fabricates fully custom cryocooler, cold-head, and dilution-refrigerator straps for any cold-head diameter or end-fitting configuration, with typical 6-7 week lead times.
