About

Meridian Space is SpinLaunch’s satellite communications business: a low-cost, highly differentiated LEO satellite constellation designed for the industry’s lowest cost of ownership. The system is built around small, high-performance microsatellites of roughly 70 kg each — described as the most efficient LEO satcom system design of its class — using a high-efficiency antenna, a simple bent-pipe payload that keeps heavy signal processing on the ground, and repeating-ground-track orbits, all chosen to keep the satellites small, light and inexpensive to build and launch. The constellation is designed to deliver 2+ Tbps of global capacity (2+ Tbps of sellable global capacity) using 5G NTN protocols on an open, waveform-agnostic architecture, giving enterprise, government and defense customers reliable, high-speed broadband wherever it is needed. Meridian’s network is built to be owned: customers can hold an entire constellation outright or a dedicated share of regional capacity, with routing and security remaining on the customer’s own ground systems. The proliferated, modular architecture is designed to scale with the mission and remain reliable even under pressure, with automated orchestration and monitoring reducing the need for manual network operations, and military-grade security features supporting government and defense (Meridian Defense) use cases.
