Wildfire Solution Platform

OroraTech’s Wildfire Solution is a fully integrated satellite intelligence platform for wildfire early detection, active monitoring, spread prediction, and post-fire analysis. The system combines OroraTech’s proprietary thermal infrared satellite constellation, purpose-built direct downlink infrastructure, onboard data processing, and a ground-based analytics pipeline into a single service delivering fire intelligence from satellite to decision-maker in near-real time.

Each OroraTech satellite carries a patented thermal infrared (LWIR) camera payload with sensitivity tuned to fire-specific temperature signatures. The sensor can detect hotspots as small as a single burning tree, enabling early fire identification before ground crews or aerial surveillance can respond. Unlike traditional Earth observation systems that transmit raw data to a central ground station for hours-long processing, OroraTech processes fire detection onboard each satellite, extracting fire coordinates and compressing the alert for immediate downlink via direct antenna connections near customer regions.

The platform operates with a constellation providing approximately 30-minute average revisit time globally, closing critical observation gaps in remote and forested regions where fires often ignite and grow unseen. The ground analytics pipeline applies more than 100 proprietary fire detection algorithms across multiple thermal camera types, filtering false positives from industrial heat sources and sun glint while improving accuracy through machine learning trained on historical fire data.

The Wildfire Solution web platform and mobile app provide civil protection agencies, forestry organizations, infrastructure operators, and carbon offset project managers with an integrated view of wildfire risk, active incidents, spread prediction, and burnt area analysis. OroraTech also supports country-customized satellite deployments, such as the Hellenic Fire System launched in 2026 for optimized coverage over Greece.
