About
The Nanosatellite Engineering Model SamSat-A, released by Glavkosmos in 2018, is a ground-based development and verification platform that allows customers to develop and test scientific equipment and software before flight; it is also suitable for use in educational programs. The kit contains a nanosatellite laboratory model, a suspension system, a debugging module and supporting software. Onboard systems are connected by a common bus without a separate cable network, and the model carries a full set of supporting subsystems including a uniaxial attitude control system built from magnetic coils and a reaction wheel. A dedicated debug board provides autonomous and comprehensive checks of both the software and the onboard systems. The model has a guaranteed service life of 3 years and an estimated production/delivery time of 9 months; it is not flight-qualified but Glavkosmos can adapt it to customer requirements.
