About

The MAC-200 is Magellan Aerospace’s flight-proven small satellite bus designed for high-reliability missions with lifetimes of seven years or more. Its flexible, fully redundant architecture with standard interfaces can be tailored to meet diverse mission-specific payload and operational requirements, making it suitable for commercial, civil, and defense remote sensing, scientific, and communication missions.

The MAC-200 accommodates payloads up to 530 kg (mission dependent) and provides radiation-tolerant command and data handling (C&DH), high-performance three-axis attitude control, and high-rate CCSDS-compatible downlink. The bus has strong flight heritage, having supported the CASSIOPE Canadian scientific satellite and the three-spacecraft RADARSAT Constellation Mission (RCM), Canada’s C-band synthetic aperture radar earth observation constellation operated by the Canadian Space Agency.

The MAC-200 platform is the flagship of Magellan’s spacecraft bus product line, targeting missions requiring the highest levels of reliability and mission lifetime in the microsatellite-to-small satellite mass class.
