About

Clyde Space (now AAC Clyde Space, following acquisition by Swedish company AAC Microtec in 2019) is a Scottish CubeSat and smallsat manufacturer based in Glasgow. The company is one of the world’s leading suppliers of CubeSat electrical power systems (EPS), on-board computers (OBC), and complete 1U–16U CubeSat and ESPA-class satellite platforms. Clyde Space EPS units feature multi-mode battery management, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) solar charging, and software-configurable power distribution for CubeSat missions from 1U to 27U. Their platforms have flown on missions for ESA, NASA, universities, and commercial operators across Europe, Asia, and North America. AAC Clyde Space also manufactures the HALO micro/small satellite platform for missions up to 50 kg. The company operates satellite missions as a service through its subsidiary, and is one of a handful of vertically integrated UK smallsat companies offering hardware, software, mission operations, and data services. Past missions include UKube-1 (UK’s first CubeSat), ESEO, and numerous 3U/6U commercial Earth observation satellites.
