The Conical Adapter Type 5 is a conical grid shell made from carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) with two interface rings, produced by Glavkosmos. It provides the specified structural interface between a spacecraft and an upper stage, transferring launch and separation loads while minimizing mass through the CFRP grid design. The product has been flight-qualified since 2000, with confirmed heritage on the Persei (14S48) booster and the Angara launch vehicle family. This configuration has a height of 900 mm, a mass of 91.14 kg, and a ring bore diameter of 1172-2040 mm at the upper-lower joint. Glavkosmos can adapt the product to individual customer interface requirements on request.
