About

S-CORE is ArkEdge Space’s ultra-small satellite bus platform, incorporating AI-driven flight software to enable high autonomy and efficient operations in 1U to 3U CubeSat form factors. The platform integrates ArkEdge’s proprietary AI software stack — running on radiation-tolerant FPGA hardware — to perform onboard failure detection, automated recovery, task scheduling optimization, and data prioritization without requiring ground intervention for routine operations.

The S-CORE architecture was developed with the recognition that small satellite operations are often bottlenecked by ground station contact time and ground operations staffing. By embedding AI-driven autonomy into the satellite itself, ArkEdge enables operators to fly larger constellations with fewer ground operators, manage longer ground blackout periods, and respond faster to anomalies than is possible with traditional scripted command sequences.

The platform supports standard CubeSat payload interfaces (PC/104, UART, I²C, SPI) and is designed for rapid integration with commercial off-the-shelf subsystems for power, communications, and attitude control. ArkEdge provides the full software stack including flight software, ground contact automation, and constellation management tools for operators deploying multiple S-CORE satellites.
