About

Beyond Gravity (formerly RUAG Space) is a Swiss-Swedish space technology company providing structural components, avionics, and satellite dispenser systems for European launchers and spacecraft. The Gothenburg (Sweden) facility — the largest of Beyond Gravity’s sites — specializes in composite structures for Ariane 5 and Ariane 6 including the fairing panels, interstages, and adapter cones that protect payloads and form the rocket’s structural backbone. Beyond Gravity also manufactures VESPA (Vega Secondary Payload Adapter) — the multi-payload adapter system used on ESA’s Vega/Vega-C rocket enabling rideshare of multiple satellite customers per launch. In satellite structures, Beyond Gravity produces the primary structure for Galileo satellites (for OHB), solar panel substrates for Sentinel satellites, and avionics units for various ESA and commercial missions. The company employs around 1,500 people across Switzerland (Zurich), Sweden (Gothenburg/Linköping), Austria, and the US, and rebranded from RUAG Space to Beyond Gravity in March 2022 following the spin-off from RUAG Group in 2020.
