About
TAB®PLUS is ALTER Technology’s patented method for long-term conservation of electronic components, displays, assemblies, devices, wafers, and dies. Unlike conventional nitrogen storage that only slows aging, TAB®PLUS actively suppresses aging mechanisms through a combination of controlled atmosphere management, temperature-regulated diffusion control, absorbers that eliminate harmful gases, and multi-layer functional packaging. The system addresses key degradation risks including diffusion processes and intermetallic phase growth, volatile outgassed compounds causing corrosion, whisker formation, tin pest, and residual oxygen degradation. All stored items undergo cyclical monitoring and analysis with continuous validation throughout the storage period. The technology is developed and operated by HTV ALTER TECHNOLOGY GmbH, a TÜV NORD Group subsidiary.
