About
AAC Clyde Space’s CubeSat platform family provides modular nanosatellite buses spanning 1U to 12U configurations, built on the combined heritage of Clyde Space’s pioneering CubeSat manufacturing (founded 2005 in Glasgow) and AAC Microtec’s satellite electronics expertise. The platform serves commercial, government, and academic customers requiring flight-proven small satellite buses for Earth observation, IoT connectivity, technology demonstration, and scientific missions.
The platform architecture is fully modular, allowing customers to select from a range of AAC Clyde Space-manufactured subsystems including electrical power systems (solar panels, batteries, power distribution), attitude determination and control systems (reaction wheels, magnetorquers, star trackers, sun sensors), onboard computers and data handling units, and communication modules spanning UHF/VHF, S-band, and X-band frequencies. Customers can procure complete integrated satellites or individual subsystems for integration into their own satellite designs.
AAC Clyde Space’s CubeSat platforms have flown on hundreds of missions since the company’s founding, spanning research institutions, national space agencies, and commercial satellite operators across Europe and internationally. The company provides end-to-end mission services including satellite design, manufacturing, environmental testing, launch integration support, and on-orbit operations, positioning itself as a comprehensive nanosatellite solutions provider for customers ranging from first-time satellite developers to established constellation operators.
