Methodology. The index lists only prices that providers have published or publicly stated; each row carries its source and an as-of date, and the table is reviewed quarterly. “Effective per-kg” for dedicated launch = publicly stated mission price divided by advertised capacity to the reference orbit — real missions rarely use full capacity, so effective cost per used kg is typically higher.
