Xavier Space Solutions (XavSat)

Xavier Space Solutions (XavSat), branded publicly as X Space Solutions, is Ghana's first private space and satellite science company, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Accra. The company designs and manufactures small satellite platforms with a focus on PocketQube nanosatellites in 1P-3P (modular 5 cm form factor) configurations, offering custom-built PocketQube development, ready-to-fly satellite units, payload integration modules, and CanSat educational kits.

XavSat's flagship mission, XavSat-1, is Ghana's first privately developed PocketQube satellite, carrying a quantum temperature-and-pressure profiling payload on a 1P chassis with passive bar-magnet attitude control, a deployable 437 MHz UHF dipole antenna, and a mass under 250 g. The company is pursuing a phased '2030 Constellation Roadmap': Phase I (2024-2025) prototype validation and Pathfinder launches, Phase II (2026-2028) batch deployment of a 40+ satellite regional West Africa constellation, and Phase III (2029-2030) a full 100+ mini-satellite network aimed at closing Africa's digital connectivity divide.

Beyond hardware, XavSat runs applied research programs in orbital debris tracking and risk mitigation, remote sensing for agriculture, light-pollution and debris observation, near-Earth-object impact vulnerability assessment, deforestation monitoring in Ghana's Krokosua forest reserve, and low-cost Earth observation using modified COTS cameras. Its space-education arm includes the SheSat Ghana program for women in STEM and satellite technology (run with KNUST's Physics department), CanSat Ghana, and the Ghana CanSat Rocketry Championship (GCRC).

Through affordable, modular PocketQube technology and a strong emphasis on training and capacity building, Xavier Space Solutions positions itself as a driver of Ghana's and Africa's emerging space sector, enabling access to orbit for educational institutions, research organisations, and commercial technology demonstrators.
