Fully Reusable Orbital Launch Vehicle
Orbital-class fully reusable launch vehicle in development, targeting up to 600kg payload delivery to orbit, building space access from Africa.
Description
Vortyx Space Technologies is developing fully reusable orbital-class launch vehicles capable of delivering up to 600kg of payload into orbit. The company was founded with the vision to make space a seamless extension of Earth, starting from Africa, with the core philosophy that transporting things to space should not be a big deal.
As an early-stage African launch startup, Vortyx is working to build indigenous launch vehicle manufacturing and operational capability on the African continent, which currently has no commercially operated orbital-class launch vehicle. The company is at the design and development stage as of 2024.
