VNIIEM (NPP VNIIEM)

Corporation VNIIEM (АО «Корпорация «ВНИИЭМ», Joint-Stock Company Corporation VNIIEM) is a Russian scientific research and manufacturing organisation headquartered in Moscow, with over 50 years of aerospace industry experience, specialising in electromechanical systems, satellite development, and spacecraft-to-ground communications infrastructure. The organisation develops Earth observation satellites including the Canopus-B remote sensing satellite series, high-speed antenna and receiver-demodulator systems for EO satellite ground stations, ground-based space infrastructure, and contributes to ISS operations management systems. VNIIEM completed flight testing of the Ionozond space system with Ionosfera-M ionosphere monitoring satellites in November 2025, and also conducts research and professional education programmes in spacecraft systems engineering.
