Description
OSSIE (Orbit Solutions to Simplify Injection and Exploration) is UARX Space's flagship in-space logistics vehicle, designed as a modular and scalable orbital transfer vehicle for small satellite operators. It is propelled by an integrated propulsion system supplied by Dawn Aerospace, configurable as chemical or electric depending on mission needs; the baseline chemical configuration uses four parallel Dawn Aerospace B20 bi-propellant thrusters burning green propellants (nitrous oxide oxidizer and propene fuel) as a non-toxic, storable replacement for hydrazine. OSSIE can perform direct orbit injection, altitude and inclination changes, constellation phasing, and LTAN/LTDN adjustments, extending service from Low Earth Orbit up to lunar and deep-space destinations. It carries payload capacity up to 1,000 kg, accommodating PocketQubes, CubeSats, small satellites and hosted payloads. OSSIE is also the first OTV globally to carry Dawn Aerospace's Docking and Fluidic Transfer Port, enabling future in-orbit refueling and satellite life-extension services. Its maiden flight, carrying an initial payload of up to 250 kg, is planned for 2026.
