About TransAstra
TransAstra Corporation, founded in 2015 and based in Los Angeles, California, is developing technologies for asteroid mining and in-space transportation. The company's flagship technology is Optical Mining, which uses concentrated sunlight to extract water and other volatiles from asteroids. TransAstra is also developing the Worker Bee orbital transfer vehicle (OTV) for satellite servicing and propellant depot operations. The company has NASA SBIR contracts and is working toward a cislunar transportation economy.
