Description
SWISSto12 is a Swiss company specializing in 3D-printed RF hardware and compact satellite platforms. Its flagship product, HummingSat, is a 40 kg class microsatellite platform developed for GEO telecommunications missions. HummingSat entered service with the first commercial mission (Arabsat BADR-8) launched in 2023, making it the first 3D-printed GEO communications satellite. SWISSto12 uses additive manufacturing (3D printing) extensively for RF hardware including waveguides, filters, and antennas — achieving significant mass and volume savings compared to traditional machined parts. The company has partnered with SES and Arabsat for GEO missions and holds contracts with ESA for advanced additive manufactured satellite components.
