About SPUTNIX LLC
SPUTNIX LLC is a Russian private space company founded in late 2011 by specialists from the Satellite Technology Division of SCANEX, who had previously developed the attitude control and determination system for the Chibis-M microsatellite (launched January 2012). SPUTNIX became a Skolkovo Innovation Center resident in 2011 and received Skolkovo Foundation funding from August 2012 for microsatellite service-system and platform technology. The company's flagship early product was the TabletSat platform, a 10-12 kg technology-demonstration bus first flown as TabletSat-Aurora on a Dnepr launch vehicle in June 2014.
SPUTNIX specializes in CubeSat and microsatellite platforms (the OrbiCraft-Pro line in 1U/3U and the larger SXC6/SXC12 buses), onboard service systems (ADCS sensors and actuators, power systems, radio transceivers, onboard computers), ground segment equipment (Viewnok and Zavitok receiving/control stations, Mission Control Center), test benches (semi-natural ADCS simulators, anechoic chamber, aerotable), and mission software. In 2018 nanosatellites SiriusSat-1/2, built by schoolchildren on the OrbiCraft-Pro platform with SPUTNIX support, were deployed from the ISS.
In 2021 SITRONICS Group (an AFK Sistema subsidiary) acquired a stake in SPUTNIX to develop LEO data services. Since 2021 SPUTNIX has flown its own OrbiCraft-Zorkiy Earth-observation satellite and, since 2023, has launched dozens of spacecraft for the SITRO-AIS automatic identification (maritime tracking) constellation and the Zorkiy-2M remote-sensing constellation, with major batch launches from Vostochny in 2023 and 2024. The company holds ISO 9001 certification and multiple patents covering CubeSat structure, onboard computer design, and bootloader software.
