Data DOTS
Compact, intelligent in-orbit sensing payloads measuring radiation and electromagnetic interference to feed the SKY-I platform.
Description
Data DOTS are compact, intelligent payloads that collect critical orbital environmental data directly from space, measuring radiation levels and electromagnetic interference and feeding the data to the SKY-I ground platform. The first Data DOT payload launched in January 2025 on a SpaceX mission, flying as a hosted payload aboard D-Orbit's ION Satellite Carrier into a sun-synchronous LEO, and completed Launch and Early Orbit Phase successfully. Space DOTS operates Data DOTS as part of its own sensor network feeding the SKY-I data product, with a planned distributed network called Swarm DOTS intended to extend this into real-time in-orbit threat alerts as a service.
