SaxaVord Spaceport

SaxaVord Spaceport is a UK commercial launch facility located on Unst, Shetland Islands, representing the United Kingdom's first vertical launch spaceport. Established in 2019, the spaceport's northerly location at nearly 61°N provides excellent access to polar and sun-synchronous orbits with minimal overflight of populated areas. SaxaVord is designed to support multiple launch operators and has signed agreements with several small launch vehicle companies including Rocket Lab, RocketNova, and others. The facility includes launch pads, control rooms, and payload integration facilities.
