About Relativity Space

Relativity Space is an American private launch company founded in 2015 by Tim Ellis and Jordan Noone, headquartered in Long Beach, California. The company is pioneering 3D-printed (additive-manufactured) rocket technology, having developed and flown Terran 1 — the world's first 3D-printed rocket — in March 2023, reaching space before a second-stage anomaly. Relativity is now developing Terran R, a larger, partially reusable two-stage launch vehicle targeting commercial payloads to LEO, SSO, and other orbits. Relativity uses its proprietary Stargate metal 3D printing machines to manufacture ~95% of each rocket's mass via additive manufacturing, dramatically reducing parts count and production time.
