Quub

Quub, Inc. is a small startup company located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The company builds low-cost satellites that deliver high-frequency, actionable imagery for water utilities, agriculture, disaster response, and infrastructure monitoring, designing, launching, and operating its own constellation with AI-powered ground systems that turn data into decisions.

Quub is building a constellation of microsatellites to monitor natural resources such as water, coastlines, and forests. Unlike the large and expensive satellites of the past, Quub's satellites are small, lightweight, and built using mostly off-the-shelf components, allowing the company to quickly construct a network that updates every 15 minutes for a near-continuous view of what's happening on the ground. Quub describes itself less as a traditional space company and more as a data company, providing information to government and private groups to help prevent and mitigate the effects of climate change.

The company was founded by Joe Latrell, an inventor and technology developer who has coordinated payloads for launch on the SpaceX Falcon 9, Blue Origin New Shepard, and Rocket Lab Electron. Quub's team emphasizes hands-on, nimble research and development and contributes to open source projects where possible.
