About Progress Space Rocket Centre (TsSKB-Progress)
Progress Space Rocket Centre (TsSKB-Progress, GNPRTsS "Progress") is a Russian rocket design bureau and spacecraft manufacturer headquartered in Samara, Russia, responsible for the design and manufacture of the Soyuz family of launch vehicles — the world's most frequently launched orbital rocket — as well as Earth observation satellites. The centre developed from the merged TsSKB (Central Specialised Design Bureau) and Progress Plant and serves as the primary Soyuz-2 launch vehicle manufacturer, supplying Soyuz rockets for Roscosmos, ESA, and commercial customers from Baikonur, Plesetsk, and Vostochny Cosmodromes. TsSKB-Progress also designs the Resurs-P, Bion-M, and Foton-M spacecraft for Earth observation, biological research, and microgravity experimentation programmes.
