Orienspace

Orienspace (东方空间, Orient Space) is a Chinese commercial aerospace enterprise founded on June 9, 2020, and headquartered in Yantai, Shandong Province, China. The company designs and manufactures the Gravity Series of launch vehicles and Force Series rocket engines, offering medium and heavy-lift orbital launch services to the growing commercial satellite market.

Orienspace's Gravity-1 made its successful maiden flight in January 2024, representing a major milestone in China's commercial launch sector. The company's Gravity-2 heavy-lift vehicle, powered by proprietary Yuanli-85 gas-generator kerosene engines, was expected to debut in 2025, with the larger Gravity-3 variant also in development. The company operates R&D centers in Beijing and Wuxi, with an assembly facility in Shandong, and has the capability to conduct launches from offshore sea-launch platforms.

As of early 2024, Orienspace has secured approximately 600 million yuan in funding. With its scalable Gravity vehicle family, the company serves satellite constellation operators requiring medium and heavy-lift capacity, positioning itself among the most capable private launch providers in China's rapidly expanding commercial space ecosystem.
