OreSat (Portland State Aerospace Society)

OreSat is Oregon's first satellite program, a 2U CubeSat mission led by the Portland State Aerospace Society (PSAS) at Portland State University with collaboration from the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, and other institutions. Selected by NASA's CubeSat Launch Initiative (CSLI) in 2017 under the Educational Launch of Nanosatellites (ELaNa) program, the OreSat mission delivers live video from low Earth orbit to inspire K-12 students across Oregon. PSAS developed the open-source OreSat bus — a modular card/backplane system scalable from 1U to 3U — as a reusable educational CubeSat platform freely available to the global space community. PSAS has been developing open-source rocketry and aerospace systems since the late 1990s.
