OKB Fifth Generation

OKB Fifth Generation (OKB-5) is a Russian space technology startup founded in 2013, headquartered at the Technopark in Novosibirsk Akademgorodok in close cooperation with Novosibirsk State University (NSU). The company specializes in the development of radiation-tolerant integrated circuits for satellite systems, space instrumentation miniaturization, and nanosatellite platforms. OKB Fifth Generation has developed ultra-small spacecraft in CubeSat form factors — including the Norby 6U nanosatellite — based on a comprehensive modular satellite platform developed jointly with NSU's Department of Aerospace Research. The company is an officially accredited partner of Roscosmos, the Russian space agency, and has participated in ESA technology transfer programs for fabless radiation-tolerant IC design.
