TASA (Taiwan Space Agency)

The Taiwan Space Agency (TASA), formerly known as the National Space Organization (NSPO), is Taiwan's national space agency responsible for developing Taiwan's space technology capabilities and conducting space missions. Established in 1991 and reorganized as TASA in 2023, the agency has developed and launched the FORMOSAT series of Earth observation and communications satellites, contributing to Taiwan's position as a space-capable nation. TASA leads Taiwan's space program including the FORMOSAT-7/COSMIC-2 weather constellation launched in partnership with NOAA, and develops talent, infrastructure, and technology for Taiwan's space industry and government applications. The agency coordinates international partnerships with NASA, ESA, JAXA, and space agencies worldwide.
