Norwegian Space Agency (Norsk Romsenter)

Norsk Romsenter (the Norwegian Space Centre, NSC) is Norway's national space authority, established in 1987 and headquartered in Oslo. The agency manages Norway's membership and contributions to the European Space Agency (ESA), promotes the Norwegian space industry, and coordinates national space activities including satellite communications, Earth observation, navigation, and space science. Norway is a strong participant in ESA programs and home to a competitive space industry cluster including Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT), Andøya Space, and Nammo. In 2022, Norway elevated its space governance by establishing the Norwegian Space Agency, building on Norsk Romsenter's decades of experience. The agency represents Norway in international space forums and supports Norwegian companies with access to ESA contracts, funding programs, and international partnerships.
