NileSat

NileSat S.A.E. is Egypt's national satellite operator, established in 1996 under Presidential Decree No. 79, and headquartered in Cairo, Egypt. The company was created to provide Egyptian and Arab television broadcasters and service providers with affordable access to satellite capacity in the Ku-band. NileSat operates a fleet of geostationary satellites at the 7° West orbital position, serving as the primary broadcasting hotspot for the Arab-speaking world and delivering over 1,500 free-to-air television and radio channels to hundreds of millions of viewers across the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. In addition to direct-to-home (DTH) broadcasting, NileSat provides satellite broadband internet, VSAT services, government and corporate communications, and contribution and distribution services for broadcasters. NileSat is majority-owned by the Egyptian government and listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
