NEC Space Technologies Ltd. is the space systems division of NEC Corporation, one of Japan's leading technology conglomerates, providing satellite manufacturing, ground systems, and space-based services to government and commercial customers. NEC has been developing satellites for over 50 years and has built more than 60 satellites for JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) and other clients including weather satellites in the Himawari series, Earth observation satellites, and scientific spacecraft.
