National Space Innovation Programme (NSIP)

The National Space Innovation Programme (NSIP) is a UK government funding programme administered by the UK Space Agency (UKSA) to accelerate the development and commercialisation of innovative space technologies, products, and services by UK companies and research institutions. NSIP provides grants and co-investment to stimulate UK space sector growth, reduce the cost of developing new space capabilities, and support the transition of promising space technologies from research to commercial maturity. The programme targets a wide range of space application areas including Earth observation, satellite communications, navigation, space exploration, and in-orbit services. NSIP is a key instrument of the UK's National Space Strategy, which aims to capture 10% of the global space economy by 2030, and complements other UKSA initiatives including the Space Catalyst programme and bilateral international space partnerships.
