CONDOR Mk3 Optical Space Terminal
Description
The CONDOR Mk3 is Mynaric's flagship free-space optical (laser) communication terminal for satellite-to-satellite and satellite-to-ground links. The terminal uses infrared laser beams to establish high-bandwidth, highly secure communication links through space, with data rates of up to 10 Gbps per link. Free-space optical communications offer several advantages over RF: immunity to electromagnetic interference and jamming, smaller form factor, lower power consumption, and spectrum-free operation. CONDOR Mk3 is designed for mass production and integration into large LEO constellations such as SDA Tranche 1 Tracking Layer satellites and potential use in government constellations. Mynaric was founded in 2009 and went public on NASDAQ (MYNA) in 2021.
