Mynaric

Mynaric AG is a German laser communications technology company founded in 2009 from a research group at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), headquartered in Munich. The company develops free-space optical (FSO) laser communication terminals for high-speed data links between satellites in orbit and between satellites and ground stations — offering data rates of gigabits per second over inter-satellite links (ISL) without radio frequency spectrum constraints. Mynaric's flagship product families CONDOR and HAWK serve LEO and GEO satellite constellations as well as aerial platforms requiring high-bandwidth backhaul. The company served major constellation operators and government programs. In 2024, Rocket Lab announced the acquisition of Mynaric, integrating its laser communications technology into Rocket Lab's broader satellite systems portfolio. Mynaric was publicly listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and NASDAQ.
