Mitsubishi Electric (Space Division)

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation is a Japanese multinational electronics and electrical equipment manufacturer founded in 1921 and headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, with a major Space Systems Division that develops and manufactures satellites, radar systems, and space infrastructure. Mitsubishi Electric has built over 70 satellites for Japanese government agencies and commercial customers, including geostationary communications satellites for JSAT/SKY Perfect JSAT, the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS / Michibiki) navigation satellites, and ETS engineering test satellites for JAXA. The company provides complete satellite bus development, satellite integration, ground systems, and satellite services. Mitsubishi Electric is a primary contractor for JAXA and the Japanese Cabinet Satellite Intelligence Center (CSICE) for Earth observation and reconnaissance satellite programs, and serves international satellite operators including MEASAT (Malaysia) and SKY Perfect (Japan). The Space Division is headquartered in Kamakura, Kanagawa.
