MDA Space

MDA Ltd. (MDA Space) is a Canadian space technology company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: MDA), headquartered in Brampton, Ontario, developing satellite systems, subsystems, and geospatial intelligence services. MDA is best known as the developer of the Canadarm and Canadarm2 robotic arms on NASA's Space Shuttle and International Space Station, as well as the RADARSAT Earth observation satellite constellation for Canada's government. MDA's three business units are Robotics & Space Operations (robotic arms for space stations and planetary missions), Satellite Systems (full satellite design, integration, and manufacturing), and Geointelligence (radar satellite data products and intelligence services). The company develops the Canadarm3 for the Lunar Gateway under NASA's Artemis program and is building the CHORUS global satellite communications constellation. MDA was spun off from Maxar Technologies and relisted independently in 2021. It serves government and commercial customers globally across its three segments.
