About Manastu Space
Manastu Space Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian space propulsion startup founded by IIT Bombay alumni Tushar Jadhav and Ashtesh Kumar, headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The company has developed a revolutionary green propulsion system that replaces toxic hydrazine fuel with a hydrogen peroxide-based propellant called MS289 — a proprietary blend of high-test peroxide (HTP) that is non-carcinogenic, easier to handle, and safer to transport than conventional satellite propellants. Manastu's product line includes the Vyom 2U, a modular plug-and-play green monopropellant thruster for satellites up to 100 kg, and Sharanga, a micro-propulsion system for CubeSats up to 50 kg. A landmark achievement came on December 31, 2024, when Manastu successfully test-fired the Vyom 2U aboard ISRO's PSLV Orbital Experimental Module-4 (POEM-4) mission, tilting the platform 24 degrees — India's first successful space demonstration of a green propulsion system. The company raised $3 million led by Capital-A to scale green propulsion, debris avoidance, and in-orbit servicing technologies.
