Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA)

The Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA / Agence Spatiale Luxembourgeoise) is the national space authority of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, established in 2018 to consolidate Luxembourg's space activities and implement the national space strategy. Luxembourg has been a satellite communications powerhouse since the founding of SES in 1985, operating the ASTRA satellite fleet that delivers television to over 100 million European households. LSA promotes Luxembourg as the premier European destination for commercial space investment, building on the SpaceResources.lu initiative that established one of the world's first legal frameworks for commercial space resource utilization (2017 Space Resources Law). The agency provides funding, regulatory support, and international partnerships for space companies in Luxembourg across satellite communications, Earth observation, resource extraction, and NewSpace ventures. Luxembourg is home to major space companies including SES, Intelsat (HQ since 2013), OHB Luxembourg, LuxSpace, Skeyeon, and many others supported by the LSA's €200 million Space Fund.
