Loft Orbital is a US-based satellite hosting company founded in 2018 by Pierre-Damien Vaujour and Antoine Brès, headquartered in San Francisco, California, enabling companies and agencies to fly payloads in space without building or operating their own satellites. Loft builds multi-mission microsatellites that host multiple third-party payloads simultaneously, standardizing all satellite bus interfaces and handling launch, satellite operations, and data downlink on behalf of its customers — reducing the time to orbit from years to months and at a fraction of the cost of a dedicated satellite. The company has launched multiple YAM (Your Affordable Microsatellite) satellites on SpaceX rideshare missions, hosting payloads from defense agencies, commercial companies, and research institutions. Loft Orbital counts the UAE government as a major customer through a joint venture arrangement, providing hosted payload infrastructure for UAE national space capabilities. The company has raised over $140 million from investors including Airbus Ventures, Technip Energies, and others.
