About LandSpace

LandSpace Technology Corp. (Chinese: 蓝箭航天, Lanxian Kongjian) is a Chinese private commercial launch vehicle company founded in 2015 and headquartered in Beijing, developing medium-class orbital rockets using methane/liquid oxygen (CH₄/LOX) propulsion — making it the first private company in history to successfully orbit using methane-fueled engines. On July 12, 2023, LandSpace's Zhuque-2 rocket (named after the Chinese phoenix bird) successfully completed its second flight and reached orbit, following the rocket's failed first flight in December 2022. Zhuque-2 is a two-stage rocket capable of delivering approximately 6,000 kg to LEO and 4,000 kg to SSO, powered by TQ-12 methane engines in the first stage and a TQ-11 in the second stage. LandSpace's next vehicle, Zhuque-3, is a larger reusable rocket designed to compete with SpaceX's Falcon 9. The company is backed by investors including Shenzhen Guozhong Capital and multiple state-owned investment funds.
