KuangChi Technology (Chinese: 光启技术, KuangChi Science) is a Chinese high-tech company founded by Dr. Liu Ruopeng and headquartered in Shenzhen, specializing in metamaterials, stratospheric communications platforms, and advanced aerospace technologies. The company is a pioneer in metamaterial science and has developed the Martin Jetpack and Traveler series of stratospheric observation platforms (near-space vehicles) that operate at altitudes of 20–40 km, providing persistent communications relay, Earth observation, and emergency response coverage over large geographic areas.
