KSATlite
KSATlite is KSAT's fully automated Ground Segment-as-a-Service offering, delivering global, API-driven satellite communications for small satellites and mega-constellations.
Description
KSATlite is Kongsberg Satellite Services' flagship Ground Segment-as-a-Service product, built on top of KSAT's global ground station network. It is designed for small satellites, mega-constellations, and everything in between, offering fully automated, machine-to-machine ground operations rather than traditional manually-scheduled contacts. Customers access the service through an API-driven scheduling system and a real-time customer portal that manages pass scheduling, tracks performance, and provides proactive anomaly detection. KSATlite operates 26 globally distributed ground stations equipped with 135 antennas ranging from 3.7m to 6.1m in diameter, supporting S-band, X-band, and Ka-band frequencies. The service processes roughly 145,000 satellite passes per month and reports historical reliability above 99.75% globally. Target customers include Earth Observation, SatCom, and IoT satellite operators, and the service is used by more than 150 operators worldwide. KSATlite draws on KSAT's broader global ground station network, which spans over 300 antennas across 28 strategically selected sites worldwide, optimized for polar and inclined orbit coverage from LEO to the Moon.
