Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS (KDA) is Norway's leading defence and aerospace company, a subsidiary of Kongsberg Gruppen ASA, headquartered in Kongsberg, Norway. In the space segment, KDA develops satellite systems, ground stations, space electronics, radar systems, and TT&C (telemetry, tracking and command) equipment. The company has supplied critical components and systems to ESA missions, Norwegian scientific satellite programs, and commercial GEO operators. KDA's space activities include satellite equipment manufacturing (propulsion electronics, on-board computers, power conditioning), ground segment development, and integrated satellite communications systems for the Norwegian Armed Forces. The company's Proteus satellite bus and Space Infrastructure Management System (SIMS) ground segment software are used in European and international satellite programs.
