Kineis

Kineis is a French satellite IoT company founded in 2018 and headquartered in Toulouse, France, deploying a 25-satellite LEO constellation to provide global IoT connectivity for asset tracking, environmental monitoring, and connected devices. Kineis is a spin-off of CLS (Collecte Localisation Satellites) and a heritage successor to the ARGOS satellite system, which has operated since 1978 providing animal and marine tracking via satellite. The Kineis constellation, built by Nexeya and launched starting in 2024, delivers two-way connectivity for IoT devices globally, with miniaturized modules that integrate into sensors, trackers, and autonomous systems. Kineis serves markets including wildlife tracking, cold-chain logistics, maritime safety, precision agriculture, and utility metering. The company raised over €100 million from investors including Bpifrance and CNP Assurances and is a key project under the French space sovereignty roadmap.
