About iSpace (Interstellar Glory)

iSpace (Beijing Interstellar Glory Space Technology Ltd.; Chinese: 北京星际荣耀空间科技有限责任公司) is a Chinese private commercial launch vehicle company founded in 2016 and headquartered in Beijing, developing the Hyperbola rocket family. iSpace achieved a major historic milestone on July 25, 2019, when its Hyperbola-1 (SQX-1) solid-fueled rocket became the first successful orbital launch by a Chinese private commercial company, placing a small test satellite into LEO. The company is developing the Hyperbola-2 (SQX-2), a larger liquid-fueled rocket designed for reusability, using a vertically-landing first stage similar to SpaceX's Falcon 9. iSpace serves the growing Chinese commercial small satellite market and has received investment from multiple Chinese state-backed and private venture capital funds.
