ICEYE Natural Catastrophe Solutions is the insurance and re-insurance market division of ICEYE, the Finnish SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite company, providing flood, hurricane, and wildfire event analytics and parametric insurance trigger data to insurers, reinsurers, and catastrophe risk modelers. Using ICEYE's constellation of SAR satellites — which can image through clouds and at night — the Natural Catastrophe Solutions division delivers rapid disaster extent mapping, flood inundation analysis, and damage assessment products within hours of a catastrophic event, enabling insurers to verify claims, estimate losses, and trigger parametric insurance payouts faster than traditional on-the-ground adjusters.
