IABG

IABG mbH (Industrieanlagen-Betriebsgesellschaft) is a German independent test and evaluation company headquartered in Ottobrunn (near Munich), providing environmental testing, systems engineering, and certification services for the aerospace, defence, and automotive industries. In the space sector, IABG is the primary German satellite and spacecraft test facility, operating large-scale environmental test equipment including EMC chambers, vibration tables, acoustic test chambers, and thermal-vacuum chambers capable of accommodating full-scale satellites. IABG tests satellites for major European primes including Airbus Defence and Space and Thales Alenia Space, as well as ESA science missions and German government satellites. The company is owned by the German federal government (BMVg) and serves as a government test and evaluation center for defence systems alongside its commercial space testing business.
