HyImpulse Technologies

HyImpulse Technologies GmbH is a German space propulsion and launch vehicle company founded in 2019 and headquartered in Neuenstadt am Kocher, Baden-Württemberg, developing hybrid rocket engines and the SR75 small orbital launch vehicle. HyImpulse's hybrid propulsion technology combines liquid nitrous oxide (N2O) oxidizer with solid paraffin-based fuel, providing a safer, greener, and cost-effective alternative to pure liquid or solid propulsion for small satellite launch applications. The SR75 is designed to deliver up to 75 kg to SSO, targeting the European small satellite launch market. HyImpulse was spun out of DLR (German Aerospace Center) research and has received ESA BIC (Business Incubation Centre) support and investment from German space industry funds.
